Those first few weeks when you're connecting with your new tiny human are so precious. They'll be full of experiences and emotions in your home that you'll want to treasure forever.
When I come to capture those moments in your little newborn bubble I'm able to use your home as a backdrop keeping everything very calm and relaxed.
No props, poses or fancy lighting, just your beautiful baby, some natural light and my camera.
After about 10 days your baby will begin to stretch out, spending longer amounts of time awake and become more alert to sights, sounds and smells around them.
If you want to capture that brand new curled up cosiness of your newborn booking a session for sometime within the first two weeks of life is recommended.
That way I can provide you with a gallery full of those little delicate details, like a tiny wrinkly heel or a wisp of downy hair.
Your baby will love to be as close to you as possible in those first few months. Thats why I make sure baby stays in Mum or Dads arms throughout the shoot as much as possible.
There's no time limit on your newborn session.
In fact I encourage parents to take it at any pace that they and baby feel comfortable. This way we can relax, take our time and not feel any pressure. So if baby needs to feed, take a minute to settle, have a nappy change or you just fancy a break for a brew, thats all absolutely fine.
'Georgia made us feel so at ease throughout the whole shoot.
She was really good at directing us, whilst keeping a calming relaxed atmosphere. She sent us some sneak peeks of our images the day after the shoot and they were really impressive. We had such a fantastic photo shoot with Georgia and would highly recommend her.'

'What can I say, we were absolutely over the moon with the family photo session we had with Georgia. The session was brilliant, really relaxed, and Georgia was fantastic with our little boy, who was in the mood for exploring rather than having his picture taken.
The photographs that she captured are absolutely stunning and will be forever precious to us.'
'I would recommend Georgia in a heartbeat!'

- I always find the best way to get things started is with a quick 15 min call where we can chat about how I can help.
- Before the shoot I'll send you my Prep Guide that'll recap all the info we've discussed like how to get the house ready, what to expect during the session plus tips on what to wear.
- During the call you can let me know your due date and I'll 'pencil that in' keeping a few dates free so there is plenty of wiggle room if baby decides to show up late or early.
- The day after your session with your permission I'll share a few preview pictures from your shoot.
- Newborn sessions are normally best at around 10am and can be done mid-week. Sessions normally last 2 hours but there is not time limit so that we can take our time and go with the flow.
- I always a bring a little selection of blankets and swaddles with me but always encourage parents to gather any keepsakes, or special blankets they want to include in the images.
- Once I've edited your images you will receive access to your full online gallery. After seeing your images you can then choose which package you would like to purchase and make any print and product selections.
- I take the utmost care editing each image from your session. It takes up to 3 weeks but they are well worth the wait.
- A relaxed 2 hour in-home photoshoot with you and your brand new baby.
- Full use of my Client Closet including blankets and swaddles.

The ideal time for a newborn session is within the first 2 - 4 weeks of birth. This is when babies have those distinct newborn features and behaviours like little wrinkly feet and hands, that curled up sleepy position and those peach fuzz cheeks. After this first month of life, baby will be more alert, spend longer periods awake between feeds and enjoy stretching out.
Yes and no. These photos are all about capturing you and your baby in this very special newborn haze. I personally don't feel that putting your baby in a bucket or putting a bonnet on them makes them look any cuter, they are already perfect exactly as they are. However, I will help guide you into cuddled up poses that both look and feel natural. If you wish to include any special momento's (baby blankets, special toys, books you've read them) we can of course include them in the images to give that extra personal touch.
To avoid disappointment I recommend clients book their newborn sessions as far in advance as they can. I ask my newborn families to provide their estimated due date when inquiring so that we can secure them a space on the calendar. Then I'll check back in once baby has arrived to see when is the best morning for the session within the first month of birth.
